Easy Air Fryer Fried Pickles Recipe

by admin

Ingredients

  • 16 oz dill pickle slices (chips or spears), drained and patted dry

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)

  • Cooking spray (oil spray)

🧑‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep Pickles:
Pat pickle slices dry with paper towels — this helps coating stick better.

  2. Set Up Breading Stations:

    • In a shallow bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, and salt.

    • In another bowl, beat eggs.

    • In a third bowl, place panko breadcrumbs.

  3. Coat Pickles:

    • Dip each pickle slice first in flour mixture, shaking off excess.

    • Then dip in beaten eggs.

    • Finally, coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.

  4. Preheat Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.

  5. Air Fry Pickles:
Arrange coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket — don’t overcrowd (cook in batches if needed).
    Spray lightly with cooking spray.
Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

  6. Serve:
Serve immediately with ranch dressing, spicy mayo, or your favorite dipping sauce.

✅ Tips:

  • For extra crispiness, double-dip the pickles through the egg and breadcrumbs again.

  • Adjust seasoning in flour mix to your taste.

  • Use thicker pickle slices or spears for a meatier bite.
