1 ½ cups milk (whole or 2%)
-
½ cup heavy cream (optional for extra richness)

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

-
½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon or base (optional for flavor boost)
🧑🍳 Instructions
1. Preheat Oven:
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
2. Make the Chicken Filling:
-
In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, melted butter, green onions (if using), salt, and pepper.
-
Mix until creamy and well combined.
3. Assemble the Chicken Pillows:
-
Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
-
Place about 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture in the center of each triangle.
-
Fold the corners over the filling and pinch edges to seal completely, forming a “pillow” or packet shape.
-
Brush each pillow with melted butter, then roll or sprinkle with breadcrumbs for a crispy coating.
-
Arrange on prepared baking sheet.
4. Bake:
-
Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
5. Make the Creamy Parmesan Sauce:
-
In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat.
-
Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
-
Slowly whisk in milk (and cream, if using) until smooth.
-
Stir in Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chicken bouillon.
-
Simmer 3–4 minutes, stirring until thickened and creamy.
6. Serve:
-
Pour warm Parmesan sauce over the baked chicken pillows.
-
Garnish with parsley or extra Parmesan if desired.
🍽️ Serving Suggestions:
-
Serve with roasted vegetables, green beans, or a simple salad.
-
Great with mashed potatoes or buttered noodles to soak up the sauce.
✅ Tips:
-
You can use leftover turkey or ham instead of chicken.
-
Add ¼ cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss to the filling for extra cheesiness.
-
The sauce thickens as it cools — thin with a splash of milk before serving if needed.
