Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Roll Ups

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll dough

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 20–25 slices pepperoni

  • ¼ cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or dried oregano


🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Prepare Dough:
    Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle (about 10×12 inches).

  3. Add Fillings:
    Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
    Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
    Layer pepperoni slices evenly on top of the cheese.

  4. Roll Up:
    Starting from one of the longer sides, carefully roll the dough into a tight log.

  5. Slice:
    Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into 1-inch thick pieces. Place the pieces cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

  6. Brush with Butter & Season:
    Brush the tops of the roll-ups with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.

  7. Bake:
    Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.

  8. Serve:
    Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.


Tips:

  • Add sliced olives, bell peppers, or mushrooms for extra veggies.

  • Swap mozzarella for a mix of mozzarella and cheddar for sharper flavor.

  • For a crispier crust, bake on a preheated pizza stone or baking steel.
