3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Dash of hot sauce to taste (optional)
Salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to taste

Steps

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Reserve one cup of shredded cheese for the top of the casserole.

Pour the casserole mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cup of cheese evenly over the top.

Bake uncovered for approximately 30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbling and the cheese is melted and golden brown.

Let cool for 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Tips

  1. Use instant rice and precooked ham for quicker preparation.
  2. Frozen peas hold their texture better but other vegetables can be substituted.
  3. This casserole can be prepared ahead and frozen for convenience.
