Ingredients
→ Dough
2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
→ Filling
→ Topping
Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch
baking dish to ensure easy release.
Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pinching seams to seal.
In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese with 1 cup granulated sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent dough layer in the baking dish.
Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and lay it over the cream cheese layer, again pinching seams together for a uniform surface.
Brush melted butter over the top crescent roll layer. In a small bowl, combine ground cinnamon with 2 tablespoons sugar, then sprinkle the mixture evenly on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crisp.
Allow casserole to cool for at least 20 minutes to set before slicing into squares. Optionally, drizzle with honey prior to serving.
Notes
