Ingredients (makes about 8 sliders):

For the chicken:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into small pieces

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Oil, for frying (can also bake or air fry)

For the Bang Bang sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce

  • 1–2 tbsp sriracha (adjust heat to taste)

  • 1 tsp honey or sugar

  • 1 tsp lime juice (optional, for brightness)

To assemble:

  • Slider buns or small sandwich rolls

  • Shredded lettuce or cabbage

  • Pickles or sliced cucumbers (optional)

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Marinate & bread the chicken:

  • Soak chicken pieces in buttermilk for 15–30 minutes.

  • In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Dredge marinated chicken pieces in the flour mixture until coated.

2. Cook the chicken:

  • Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  • Fry chicken pieces in batches until golden and cooked through (about 4–5 minutes). Drain on paper towels.

  • Alternatively, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes or air fry at 400°F for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.

3. Make the Bang Bang sauce:

  • Whisk mayo, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth.

4. Assemble the sliders:

  • Spread sauce on bottom buns.

  • Top with fried chicken pieces, more sauce, shredded lettuce or cabbage, and pickles if using.

  • Close with top buns.

🔁 Variations:

  • Use grilled chicken for a lighter version.

  • Add sliced avocado or shredded carrots for extra texture.

  • Swap slider buns for lettuce wraps for a low-carb option.
